Week 46 – Keeping your Winter Training sessions productive!!!

I have heard Winter Indoor Training described as tedious, boring, dull, uninteresting, unexciting, wearisome, tiresome, uninvolving, repetitive, repetitious, unvarying, unchanging, unvaried, humdrum, ho-hum, routine, mechanical, mind-numbing and uninteresting.

CycleClubKingston does it in a very interesting way to keep it feeling inspiring, exhilarating, appealing, impressive, interesting, intriguing, lively, moving, stimulating, arousing, stirring, exhilarating, rip-roaring, wild, and zestful!

We get 10 or so committed people together and each chip in $200-$250 dollars and rent a room roughly 15 ft x 20 ft. (we have used 3 different location over the last 8 years and it has cost around $2000 to use room 3 times weekly for about 1 1/2 hours..  We used a stereo system with digital projectors, lap top or dvd player and together do the workouts 3 times weekly.

 

In the North East we run our training from November thru March normally about 21 weeks.

The room is heated to 50 degrees and even then we end up opening doors and windows to cool ourselves off!

We decorate the room to enhance our experience.

Everyone bring their own trainers and these are the videos we use either in DVD or Digital downloads!
