People just don’t think about the amount of time our food is in contact with plastic that leeches out into our food! These plastics or platisizers, can cause significant health challanges to us and our loveones! So, here are steps you can take to create a safer, plastic-free kitchen.
1. Never Heat It
When heated plastic leaches even faster … Never heat your food or water in plastic containers. Microwave safe means it won’t warp when you heat it!. Consider that your bottlesed water is heated in the back of tractor trailers and on shipping docks prior to arriving in your stores refrigerator!
2. Glass or Stainless Steel Containers
Cut down on your use use glass or stainless steel instead. Remember those colorful glass Pyrex containers … just went to the corning glass outlet store & stocked up!
3. Fresh or Frozen Vegetables
BPA is in the lining of almost all canned food because it helps prevent corrosion and food contamination. Buy fresh or frozen food rather than canned food.
4. Stainless Steel Water Bottle
Carry your water in a stainless steel water bottle.
5. Paper Deli Wrap
Do not use plastics to wrap your foods!
