ROAD BIKING: VALUABLE LESSONS OF LIVING IN THE MOMENT
My wife & I share a love of cycling. We co-founded Cycleclubkingston 6 years ago. During that time, each season, we have lead both indoor riding Training during winter months (November, December, January, February & March) and outdoor group rides during the summer months. The Indoor season has been dedicated to improving the cycling condition of participants. We focus on all aspects of biking: including Bike Fit, Efficient Pedaling, riding position, bike upgrades, weight loss, athletic performance on your bike. Specifically we train on Paceline skills for drafting, Climbing skills, sprinting skills, shifting, and understanding using power, heart rate & cadence as performance indicators. We work on using your heart rate to improve performance while riding in the aerobic zone, anaerobic zone, & intervals into the RED Zone. We also work on recovering at effort, or getting back toward the recovery zone while maintaining 90 cadence. We have watch the Tour De France and have discussions about performance strategies that are useful to us on group rides to avoid getting dropped. Most important, we bond socially and all improve our riding skills for the summer months to come.

I love that i make both a living and a life by helping others pursue ans achieve important life goals. No matter how successful you are, what you accumulate, what you have achieved, without health it is almost impossible to enjoy it! I love that I can give people the tools and teach them to maintain their health and be financially rewarded for doing that!
EXERCISE: CALCULATED OXIDATIVE STRESS WITH THE GOAL OF MAKING YOURSELF BETTER
Progressive resistance training, Aerobics, Anaerobic Training (TRX, Interval, Calisthenics), Athletic specific training, Flexibility, and Personal training has been a life foundation. My earliest memories have been of a pursuit of physical and performance enhancement. It defines me and many of the relationships I have with like minded people.
NUTRITION: YOU ARE WHAT YOU ABSORB
I believe that many of us work very hard pushing our bodies to perform. I think we should work just as hard to insure it recovers and rests to insure it can continue to support this performance. I believe that our food system is broken and corporations a putting their concerns for generating a profit ahead of their concerns for our health. Corporations spend a lot of money on trying to deceive and spin, because it is financially beneficial for them to do so. As our opinions sway … we are more likely to trend toward obesity and more likely to have poorer health than out parents. Food is fuel and should be regarded as such. It is important that the body gets fundamental essential nutrients on a daily basis to remain vital. We are living being exposed to toxins in the air, our food supply, our water supply, in almost everything we come in contact with, and the body required assistance getting these chemicals out.
MIND: THE MOST POWERFUL MUSCLE WE HAVE
It defines and shapes our existence and our reality. We manifest our lives into exactly what we are capable of seeing and believing. It shapes your Dreams, Goals, Actions, and your Habits all of which set in place your path. It determines whether you live in your problems or their solution. Your thoughts determine the physical makeup of your cells and their ability to support the life you choose to live. It empowers you to chose how you react to adversity and whether you see it as a life necessary lessen you must understand to achieve your goals/designed to improve you or decide it’s an obstacle designed to destroy you. It is a tool box full of wonderful methods you can employ to stay the course of your choosing or a mine field that awaits your inevitable destruction. Harnessing your mind and it’s ability for positive belief is limitless.

Photography has been a passion for most of my adult life. It has opened many doors that have feed my other passion with it’s exposure to the people who are leaders in their field. It is my artistic and creative outlet! It is how I express concepts and ideas that words seem inadequate expressing!
