Week 57 – Making Health decisions based how YOU are TRENDING!

WHEN IT COMES TO LIFE’S DECISIONS … LIFE IS NOT ABOUT FINDING YOURSELF … IT IS MORE ABOUT CREATING YOURSELF!

Your Decisions and choices about what you ingest and why you ingest it create the values that define your Health and wellness. They impact you … shape and mold your health and wellness and determine how you live out your your Dreams, your vision of yourself both inside and outside.

The Chart above describes a useful and evolved method for making choices … decisions about what you are doing and how it impacts your BODY and your HEALTH.  Everything that we ingest, regardless of the reason, or comes in contact with our skin (intentional or unintentional), that we breath into our bodies … will affect us by … either leaving us the same, leave us better. or make us worse.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT … YOU ARE A PERISHABLE ITEM AND SHOULD LIVE ACCORDINGLY!

Sometimes, we are making tough choices such as if I do this to help this concern, what is the impact on this other concern or will a different concern develop   …  if I eat this because of these reasons,  what is the impact on these other aspects of my life …. if I take this drug for this reason, what are the side effects, what is the price.

TO FIND THE BEST ANSWER TO THESE TOUGH QUESTION WE CAN ASK OURSELVES  … “WHAT IS BEST FOR ME?”

And exactly how you sort out an answer about “What is Best for me?”  has a lot to do with your GOALS!  If you have a goals such as optimizing your HEALTH, reaching your ideal POWER-TO-WEIGHT RATIO, PERFORMING at your best, optimizing your INTENSITY-TO-RECOVERY RATIO, insuring you AGE GRACEFULLY and AGE WITHOUT METABOLIC MORBIDITY (absence of health & well being), or simply to INSPIRE OTHERS THAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE AND MAINTAIN A HIGH STATE OF WELLNESS … “WHAT IS BEST FOR ME?” is one of the toughest question that you can ask.

Ironically, STICKING TO your Dreams, Goals, and resulting Decisions (ACTIONS) holds you to the highest and most stringent standards.  It has a lot to do with … do as I do and having the resolve to set an example, and hold yourself to a standard to maintain the integrity of your message!

With that in mind … Make sure you understand that … The answer is not always found in other questions like:

What will be easiest?  What will be convenient?  What would be the most enjoyable?  What would be the most socially convenient?    What would be easiest for others to understand and accept?  What would be the most socially inclusive?  What is in front of me right now?  What is everyone else doing?  What would give me the greatest short term satisfaction?  What is fastest?  What is available?  What is in my comfort zone? What can I do that requires no thought?  What would make me feel good right now?  What would make my mind stop spinning?  What would help me go to sleep?  What would stop me from feeling uncomfortable?  What would make me feel full?  What am I craving?

What is tough about “What is Best for me?” is that it requires an absolute answer … not what’s best in this situation, what’s best right now or what’s better or my favorite cop out … everything is cool in moderation!  The problem with moderation is that is we are getting mountains of hazardous stuff in moderation everyday foods, stuff we put on or skin, items we clean with, lubricate with, put on things we come in contact with and breath in intentional or unintentional much of which is labeled deceptively!

 

It starts with your Dream of a better Healthier you!  When these Dream is written down, they become Goals …

HOW BIG SHOULD YOUR HEALTH GOAL BE …

This often requires re-examining and re-learning past beliefs that have not gotten you where you want to be or enabled a transformation you want.   (Alvin Toffler said “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot learn to read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn”) New information can reshape our beliefs if we are open to it!

A Goal broken down into steps becomes a Plan.  And a Plan put into Action causes CHANGE!

We monitor these trends in your health and the changes to make sure the choices we are making are consistent with our GOALS.

EACH CHOICE YOU MAKE IS A FACTOR THAT INFLUENCES YOUR WELLNESS in a positive or negative direction.

On the TREND chart above … Your current state of Health is at the center line or ZERO.  If doing and repeating an action or choice is a good one, it moves your health towards the RIGHT … TOWARDS IMPROVEMENT.  If doing or repeating an action or choice is a less desirable one or not so good, then it moves your health  towards the LEFT!

Healthier People (often younger people) do have more Wiggle Room:

Some People have systems that are more responsive to  damage control.  This is certainly true for most young people.  Their bodies can take a lot of abuse and recover.  But as we age your body can withstand less and less abuse.

With this method of thinking in mind we can identify things, foods, and behaviors that move you toward the LEFT (bad for us) and  we can identify things, foods, and behaviors that move you toward the RIGHT (things that make us better)!

 

No one has said it better than Hippocrates … “Let your food be your Medicine and Your Medicine be your Food”

Looking at your food choices, your product choices, your habits through Trend Analysis will get rid of a lot of the noise, the confusion out there … People who achieve and maintain wellness are achieving greatness and success in something very important.

They will understand They understand the importance of staying focused on
their predetermined goals and not dwelling on the difficulties they encounter sticking too them in their day to day lives.

STAND UP FOR CREATING VALUE … CREATING IMPACT … AND MAKING THE DECISIONS THAT GIVE YOU YOUR ULTIMATE LIFE HEALTH AND WELLNESS ON THE TERMS THAT MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE!

GIVE VOICE TO THAT INNER PERSON WHO IS SHOUTING FOR YOU TO DO WHAT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE YOUR VISION OF YOURSELF RISE TO THE SURFACE!

Many Posts will deal with these trends and the unconscious decisions we make when we allow the makers of our food producers, skin care product manufacturers, cleaning supplies producers, clothing manufacturers,  marketing and advertisers make these important decisions for us!
